I am an intuitive, sensitive and creative woman, who from an early age discovered her passion and purpose in life: to serve others. That motivation drove me to study psychology after having graduated as a civil engineer.

My passion for deeply understanding others led me to obtain a master's degree in clinical psychology in Colombia, my country of origin, which strengthened my skills and gave me new tools to become a counselor in order to start my private practice.

I specialized in working with adults in individual sessions and also with families in group sessions. Built on my experience and acquired knowledge, I support individuals or families in their development processes, highlighting and making visible inner strengths, resources and skills.

I complemented the clinical practice teaching in several universities. This gave me the opportunity to share with my students’ academic and experiential knowledge related to several psychological topics: Personality, family and couple therapy, adult psychopathology, psychological evaluation between others. After years of teaching, I was appointed Director of the Psychology program at the University of La Sabana. In 2017 given a relocation proposal offered to my husband in his work, we as a family moved to Switzerland.

Once settled in the city of Zug, I validate my degree in Psychology and got trained as a Reiki practitioner. After that, I continue practicing my profession and putting my experience, my skills and my knowledge at the service of others.

This is how "Brighten your Path" was born, as a project destined to illuminate the life of others and my own, through what I love doing the most, offering counseling service, Reiki sessions or the joint action of both, in English and in Spanish.
